Max Verstappen has revealed his brand new helmet for the 2017 Formula 1 World Championship. “Us drivers are always trying to tweak our helmet design. As you can see it differs a bit with different colors. No orange for me this year, but both my sponsors are at the front.”
“Because of the slightly bigger Red Bull logo on the side of the helmet – it’s now more in line with the logo on the car – I had to adjust the design a bit further. Nevertheless the V is still there. I’ve had it all my career.”
“The back has also been changed with new lines and my logo”, explains Max before elobarting on the top of his new helmet. “From last year’s race at Spa, I had a Dutch Lion on the top. I’ve updated it so the lion looks more aggressive. As you can see, we managed to incorporate my logo as the eyes of lion. I think it looks really good.”
“Of course, the helmet has to be different to Daniel’s. When I switched to Red Bull, both our helmet’s had a blue top, but I think it should be easy to spot the difference now. On the back, because it’s mandatory, we’ve put my racing nummer which I think looks great. Hopefully you like it too!”
