Pirelli announces tyre compounds for Singapore Grand Prix

Pirelli, Formula 1’s sole tyre supplier, has announced the different tyre compounds for the Singapore Grand Prix. The teams are able to choose from the three softest compound tyres. Pirelli has put those at their disposal during the race weekend, from September 15th till the 17th.

During the race, the soft and super soft tyres (the yellow and red striped ones), will have to be used by the teams, moreover they also need to keep a set of the ultra’s (purple coloured) in reserve in case they will need it during Q3. The teams are allowed to choose freely from the remaining ten sets regarding the three different compounds. The respective choices by the different teams, will be announced shortly before the event takes place.
