Max fourth in final Montreal practice session

In the third and final free practice session of the Canadian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen set the fourth fastest time. His 1:12.9 was four tenths of pace setter Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari). The German’s team mate, Kimi Raikkonen, and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton completed the top four.

“This is a good result, especially on this circuit with its long straights”, explains Max. “Tomorrow is going to be warmer, which means it will be more difficult. But for now, I’m happy with the car.”

When FP3 gets underway, Max stays in the garage. It is not until 20 minutes into the session, that the Dutchman heads out. His first run, completed on a set of super-softs, lasts ten laps.

After super-soft running, Max switches to the ultra-soft tyre. He improves his lap time to a 1:12.965, granting him fourth place at the end of the session.
