On Friday September 2nd 2016, Max Verstappen drove in Italy for the first time with the halo, the much talked about cockpit protection that will be made mandatory in the 2018 season by the FIA. The installation lap that Max did in the Red Bull Racing RB12 with the halo, had been done on unmarked tyres, which are also on this unique 1:43 Minichamps scale model. Also very well visible, at the side of the cockpit, is where the halo is attached. Apart from that, the flat rear wing also stands out: the typical set up for the high speed circuit that is Monza.
