Jos regarding the Malaysian win: “Max controlled the race. Super!”

Immediately after the Malaysian race, Jos Verstappen is interviewed by Ziggo Sport. The proud father talks about his son’s victory: “The pace of the car looked very well, that was evident after two laps already. Max was able to run with Hamilton quite nicely. When he got the chance to overtake him, he went for it quite decently. Super! Max controlled the race. The moments that there was need for some quick laptimes, he did just that. Great!”

Jos continues: “Max needed this victory. He deserved it. This year was really tough for him and this is the fruit of your labour for not giving up, staying motivated and keeping your focus. That’s what Max does. He really did an excellent job.”

“Max knows what he is capable of and at Red Bull they know that as well. This win is also good for the team. They never give up and are always improving. This is everyone’s result, for the team in the factory at Milton Keynes as well. Truly a great moment!”
