Max voted ‘Driver of the Day” at Japanese GP

Published on 08 October 2017 by Mike Motilall

For the second time now this Formula 1-season, Max Verstappen has been voted ‘Driver of the Day’. Fans worldwide casted their votes at Formula1.com during the race. The 20-year-old Dutchman had the most votes to his name during the Japanese Grand Prix; Max finished the race in second. After the catch-up race in China where he also made it to the podium, Max was also voted the same.

Starting from fourth, Max had a great start in Japan and made little work of his Red Bull Racing-team mate. Shortly after that, Sebastian Vettel dropped out due to a technical issue and Max became the one to open the hunt on front runner Lewis Hamilton. The Mercedes-driver was however in a league of his own. After an excellent and flawless race, Max came in second, just one second down on the winner.
