During the first free practice this morning on the circuit of Barcelona Giancarlo Fisichella was fastest in his Jordan Peugeot with a lap time of 1:21.146. Johnny Herbert was again fast on second place, followed by Ralf Schumacher in third.
Jos did very well and drove to position 8 in 1:23.388. Mika Salo ended in position 13 with 1:24.924
