The Tyrrell team has tested the new Ford ED5 engine on the circuit of Silverstone today. Mika Salo tried the new engine today and Jos will have a go with the new engine tomorrow. The first signs are positive: After some small tuning problems the computer showed that a higher top speed could be reached with the new engine. The goal is that Jos as well as Mika will use the engine during qualifying and the race in Spain. Mika will be using the new engine at the free practice on Friday as well.
