Pirelli's two-day tyre test at Silverstone completed

Pirelli, the Formula 1 tyre supplier, has completed their two-day test at the Silverstone race-track. Max Verstappen, Romain Grosjean and Robert Kubica, today, completed a total of 257 laps on a prototype slick tyre for the 2019 season. Combined with yesterday’s number of laps (252), the Italian tyre supplier ran a productive test.
It was not the first time that Pirelli tested their tyres for the coming season on track. Earlier this year, Ferrari, McLaren and Mercedes tested new compounds. Those were both dry and wet-weather tyres.
While yesterday it was Sebastien Buemi who drove the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing car, today Max Verstappen put on his racing gear for the team from Milton Keynes. Romain Grosjean (Haas) and Robert Kubica (Williams) were able to drive their cars during both days.
Pirelli has a total of four tyre tests on the calendar this year. The next one will take place in less than two months, when McLaren will test the new wet-weather tire at Circuit Paul Ricard.
