Busy summer continues for Max

Published on 14 July 2018 by Raymond Snip

Formula 1 has just finished its first triple-header, with three Grands Prix in three weeks: France, Austria and Great Britain. Next week the traveling F1 circus arrives in Hockenheim, Germany and moves on to the Hungaroring just a week later, finishing no less than five races in six weeks time.

Anyone who thinks that Max Verstappen had a lot of time to relax in the two-week interval between Silverstone and Germany is dead-wrong. On Wednesday prior to the British Grand Prix, Max participated in the charity event, "Clay Day", which involves clay pigeon shooting for Wings for Life, followed by a video shoot in the afternoon. From Thursday to Sunday Max was, of course, occupied with the usual activities on the race-track.

Monday is usually a resting day for the Dutch Aston Martin Red Bull Racing driver, but this week an event with a team sponsor was scheduled for the afternoon and in the evening he was present in London to kickoff the F1 Esports Series 2018. His day off followed on Tuesday, although he couldn’t skip a visit to the gym.

The workweek continued on Wednesday with some action: Max tested the 2019 Pirelli prototypes tyres at Silverstone all day long. On Thursday, Max again completed a full day behind the steering wheel: this time in the simulator in Milton Keynes. And the last working day, Friday, was also booked. Max visited the TAG Heuer headquarter in Switzerland, after which he returned home to Monaco in the evening for a well-deserved weekend.
