Max: 'Upgraded fuel at Spa should boost our performance'

Published on 22 August 2018 by Niels Hendrix

Max Verstappen can’t wait to jump back into his RB14, this weekend during the Belgian Grand Prix. “I am really looking forward to Spa. It’s my favourite track in the world and it’s kind of my home track as well, being half Belgian. It is also very close to the Dutch border, so a lot of Dutch fans will show up to support me. I just can’t wait.”

The long straights at Spa-Francorchamps don’t particularly suit the car of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, but fuel and lubricant partner ExxonMobil brings new developments. Max: “Hopefully we will also have upgraded fuel in the car, so that normally would boost our performance. It should be a great weekend.”

“Spa is a great track to see a lot of orange around it. It will cover pretty much the whole track. During the drivers parade fans light orange smoke bombs, that’s pretty cool”, concludes Max speaking to Mobil 1 The Grid.
