Horner: 'With Max on the third row we hope we can have a good race'

Christian Horner, team principal of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, says after the Italian qualifying: “Unfortunately it was a short-lived qualifying for Daniel, who only did one lap in Q1 which would have been good enough to have put him P9 on the grid. In suffering penalties with his engine change it made no sense to continue with qualifying after that. Max progressed through to Q3 comfortably but unfortunately we didn’t have the ultimate pace to challenge Ferrari and Mercedes today. With Max on the third row of the grid we hope we can have a positive start and a good race tomorrow afternoon.”
