Max, happy 21st birthday!

Just like last year, Max Verstappen is celebrating his birthday again on a circuit. This time round not at Sepang in Malaysia, but at Sochi Autodrom in Russia. The Dutchman doesn’t have much time to dwell on this memorable fact, this afternoon he has a Grand Prix on his agenda and some hours after the race, he’s aboard a plane heading to his apartment in Monaco.
This doesn’t mean that Max’ 21st birthaday will not be celebrated. After a warm welcome, including singing, when he entered the paddock, Aston Martin Red Bull Racing presented the birthday boy with a cake in the shape of one of Max’ helmet. Also, among the other presents, a set of Matryoshka dolls, decorated with highlights from his racing career so far.
Which is quite impressive! Having turned 21, Max has already done 75 Grand Prix starts and won four times, been on the podium 17 times, done four fastest laps, started from the first row four times and has led eleven races.
