During the second and final day of testing in Bahrain, the Honda-driven teams have been the most prolific. The three Aston Martin Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso drivers were all able to lap the circuit over more than one hundred times: Dan Ticktum 135 (P9), Alexander Albon 143 (P7) and Daniil Kvyat 111 (P5).
Wednesday afternoon, Fernando Alonso will take control of the McLaren-wheel from Carlos Sainz and the most experienced Spaniard will commence testing for Pirelli, who in turn have brought along prototypes of the 2020-tyres. At Racing Point there is also a change in line up, Lance Stroll is to hand over the wheel to Sergio Perez.
The afternoon is used by many teams to gather data during their long runs, aimed at the race set up. The Thai Albon, is the first to pass the 100-lap mark, this is then followed by Toro Rosso-team mate Kvyat. Ticktum, who is testing in the RB15 for the first time, follows suit not much later.
George Russel manages to clock the fastest time on the board (1:29.029), followed very closely by Perez (1:29.095). Sebastian Vettel takes the third fastest time (1:29.319), while his fellow countryman Mick Schumacher is sixth after 70 laps in the Alfa Romeo (1:29.998).
