Max on front row in Austria after penalty Hamilton

Max Verstappen will start the Austrian Grand Prix from second position, after the announcement that Lewis Hamilton received a three-place grid penalty. The Brit impeded Kimi Raikkonen in turn 3 during qualifying. The stewards concluded that Raikkonen was impeded by Hamilton, handing the Mercedes driver a three-place grid drop and one-penalty point on his license. Hamilton, who qualified second, will now have to start the race from P4.

Verstappen, who qualified third, will because of the penalty for Hamilton start from second place on the grid, his best starting position this year. McLaren driver Lando Norris gaina a place and starts from P5.
