Formula 2-driver Anthoine Hubert passed away after crash at Spa

During the Formula 1-weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, where Formula 2 acts as a precursor, Anthoine Hubert passed away at the age of 22 after a crash during the FIA Formula 2 Sprint Race.
The Renault-junior and reigning GP3 champion, was involved in a horrendous accident on the exit of Eau Rouge and Radillon. The Frenchman took evasive actions to avoid another driver and was then struck sideways by the Sauber Junior Team entry of Juan Manuel Correa.
The FIA has confirmed that Hubert succumbed to his injuries approximately one hour after the accident at 18.35 hrs. local time. Correa has also been treated for his injuries at the CHU Liege Hospital nearby and is in a stable condition.
