Due to the fact that it was most of the time raining on the circuit, most drivers were not able to improve their times. Mika Hakkinen however drove at the end of the session a time of 1:47.386 which brought him to position 8. The rest of the top 10 remained unchanged.

Jos ended on a very well done 11th position. Salo was able to improve his time to 1:51.058 however he ended in position 21st.
