The last race of this season will be the European Grand Prix in Jerez, Spain, on October 26. The FIA has decided that there will no extra Grand Prix to be staged at Estoril, Portugal. The last race of the season was moved from Estoril to Jerez because planned repairs were behind schedule. The FIA will consider Estoril again for the 1998 season.
