Team Redline reveals livery for virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans

This weekend the virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans will take place. Max Verstappen is one of the 200 entrants of this simrace and the Dutchman will be running in the #20 Team Redline car. He shares the cockpit on Saturday the 13th and Sunday the 14th with Formula 1-colleague Lando Norris and simracers Atze Kerkhof and Greger Huttu.

Team Redline showed the colours today of the Oreca 07, in which they will run in the LMP2, facing 29 competitors in the process. In the GTE-class another twenty teams will be facing each other on Circuit de La Sarthe. The 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual will be played on the game platform rFactor2 and promises to be the largest ever esports-endurance race. Teams consist of a combination of professional and sim racers and will be broadcasted on TV worldwide. On the list of entrants we also see notable names like Charles Leclerc, Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button, Juan Pablo Montoya and Giedo van der Garde.

Driver changes are mandatory. The minimum driving time for every driver is four hours. The maximum driving time for every driver for the entire race is seven hours. Apart from that, the event will take place in mixed weather conditions and damaged cars will be able to be repaired in the pits. Teams are allowed to do their own setup in order to maximize performance of their car. Refueling and tyre changes are also essential components. Strategy is of the utmost importance in the race. During the event, a race leader will monitor sportsmanship and (driving) conduct.
