Mugello en Sochi officially confirmed for the 2020 calendar

Formula 1 have confirmed the addition of the Mugello circuit onto the excisting 2020 calendar. The event will take place a week after the Italian Grand Prix held at Monza. In addition, Sochi, the Russian Grand Prix's venue, has also been confirmed as a host for this year's season.
Up until now, the provisional 2020 calendar had only eight rounds confirmed. With the addition of Sochi and Mugello, the calendar is extended to ten. The expectation is for the season to comprise of fifteen to eighteen races.
Mugello, which has never hosted a Grand Prix, is scheduled for Sunday 13 September. Ferrari, which owns the track, will contests its 1000th Formula 1 race at its home venue. Sochi is scheduled for a fortnight later, with the race taking place on 27 September.
