Despite all rumours of Gerhard Berger or Jean-Cristophe Bouillon driving for Sauber, Norberto Fontana will be driving for the Sauber Formula 1 team at the British Grand Prix. Norberto was criticized for his performance in the French Grand Prix where he stood in for Gianni Morbidelli after he broke an arm in a pre-race test. Although Fontana qualified OK, he made three unplanned pitstops before spinning out of the race.

Gerhard Berger suffered another very big blow today when his father, Johann Berger, died early this morning in a plane crash. Johann Berger, aged 62, was flying alone in a private plane when he crashed into a mountain in thick fog in Vorarlberg, Austria.
