Max six fastest at the third practice Spa-Francorchamps

Max Verstappen finished six fastest at the third practice for the Belgian Grand Prix. In a pretty calm session, during which the drivers initially did just a few laps, Max drove ten laps and did a 1:43.896, the sixth fastest time. Six tenths a drift from top runner Lewis Hamilton. Esteban Ocon came in second while Lando Norris was third best.
On a cloudy Spa-Francorchamps circuit, the third and final free practice gets underway. The drivers take their time and patiently wait before heading out on track. Only both Haas drivers get a timed lap in the first fifteen minutes of the session when it lightly starts to rain.
The rain doesn’t quite break through but the drivers still head out on the slicks. With 35 minutes left on the clock, Max also heads out on a set of the softs strapped on to his RB16. In his first flying lap Max does a 1:43.896 and is second fastest, with less than a tenth behind of Valtteri Bottas. After a stint of six laps, the Dutchman heads back to the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing pit box.
Once again the drivers remain in their pit box for a considerable amount of time, but with less than ten minutes left in the session, almost all of them head out on track. At the last chicane it’s jam packed before the drivers are able to get busy with their flying lap. Many drivers are able to better their time. However, this cannot be said for Max. He drops back at the end of the session to sixth. Lewis Hamilton tops the board at the third free practice. Esteban Ocon is second fastest, while Lando Norris and Alexander Albon finish third and fourth in a session without any incidents whatsoever.
