Together with his team mate Sergio Perez, Max Verstappen was featured in Red Bull Racing's Talking Bull podcast. It became a very amusing conversation between the two drivers who posed each other a number of questions.
Max how are you finding the intensity of the championship fight this season? “It’s good, fine”, says Max. “When you have a good car that’s the most enjoyable about it. You can race for podiums and wins every single race. I’am just enjoying it.”
We are starting to see some bigger crowds at races this year. How is it to see the Orange Army back in force? Max replies: “In the end they create the atmosphere around the track. Not even just the Dutch fans, but to have a crowd around is always nice. Slowly everything starts to be more normal again.”
If you had to swap jobs with anyone within Red Bull Racing who would it be? After thinking for a while Max says: “My race-engineer GianPiero, I think. Then I could shout at him on the radio while driving.”
What do you appreciate in your team mate Sergio Perez, whom you have been driving with this year for the first time and what can you learn from him? Max: “That we can push each other. We have a good and fun relationship. On track we try to do the best we can and not everyone is like this. Some drivers take it too seriously. Sergio enjoys life and enjoys Formula 1, he has found a good balance in between with the family. I can learn a lot from that.”
You have used a special yellow helmet for the two Grand Prix-weekends in Austria where you won both races. Do you have any more helmets planned for this year? “Yes, as usual always Spa. And then my own Grand Prix in Zandvoort”, Max reveals. “And maybe Brazil if everything happens as planned.”
