Jos Verstappen is making his rally debut

Jos Verstappen is making his rally debut shortly. The former Formula 1 driver will make an appearance in the Jack’s International Drenthe Rally, a race on and around the TT Circuit Assen. There will be three times four stages on the programme in Drenthe, both on paved roads and off-road.

It all started with driving a rally car for fun, but it has evolved into something more serious, for which Jos has been training a lot. “I already lost seven kilograms and I run every morning”, says Jos to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. “It will be the first time for me to race with a navigator next to me. I am looking forward to it and I have noticed how much I enjoy rally. It is very unpredictable.”

First of all it is about having fun, it is hard to predict what it will lead to: “I will wait and see what it will lead to. If I enjoy it, then I will definitely do more.”
