Benetton anounced that David Richards will take over the position of Flavio Briatore next year. Richards is already successful with his company Prodrive in the Rally World Championship with Subaru and in the BTCC with Honda.

Flavio Briatore will stay in Formula 1 due to his co-ownership of Minardi and his personal links with Giancarlo Fisichella and Jarno Trulli. Also it is rumoured that the Italian will get involved in the soccer Champions League.
