Jos driving three more BRC rally's after Hellendoorn Rally

Published on 24 August 2022 by Mike Motilall

After his first five rally’s, Jos Verstappen wants more. The previous weekend, together with his navigator Harm van Koppen in their Citroën C3 Rally2, they got a taste of the real deal during the WRC-race in Ieper, after which a decision was quickly made regarding the remaining months of this year.

For starters, Jos, driving for Verstappen.com Racing, represented by DG Sport Competition, will be taking part on September 16th and 17th in the Eurol Hellendoorn Rally. This Dutch course is new terrain for Verstappen. The Hellendoorn Rally is the fifth round of the Open Dutch Rally Championship and the service park is located in the parking lot of Avonturenpark Hellendoorn.

A week later, on September 24th, Jos will return to Belgium for the BRC East Belgium rally. On November 5th and 6th, the BRC Condroz rally will be driven and finally, Jos will see some more action on December 3rd and 4th during the BRC Spa rally.

“Each rally is a new learning experience for me”, says Jos. “By now I’m already 50, but I’m still learning a lot and need to get more experience in driving rally’s. But above all I am enjoying it and that’s why I am contesting.” Jos is taking it step by step in the rally world. “The main thing is to finish the event and the most important thing is to have fun. But at the same time I want to do well. I am still learning, like how to work together with a navigator and how to write up pace notes. We’ll see afterwards in what position we finish.”
