BMW will return to Formula 1 in the year 2000. The German company will supply the Williams team with engines. During the years 1982 through 1987 BMW has supplied engines in Formula 1 and in their second year already where the driving force behind the World Champion in that year, Nelson Piquet in a Brabham BMW Turbo.

During the warm up session last Sunday both Villeneuve and Coulthard were a bit too greedy. Both drivers ignored the yellow flags that were hold when Trulli spun off the track. Both drivers have received a suspended one race ban. If they make the same mistake once again they will be suspended for one race.
