Max ahead of Austin: 'Still want to win every race'

Max Verstappen arrives in in Austin for the United States Grand Prix as a two-time Formula 1 World Champion. After securing the title in Japan, Max enjoyed a modest celebration. “I still had a lot of other commitments, including simulator work in the factory in Milton Keynes”, explains Max. “However, I was able to have an evening to celebrate with friends.”
“Of course, compared to last year, it feels different because we won it earlier in the season, and we sort of saw it coming. We really can’t compare to two championships. It’s like the difference between your very first race win and the ones after that. The first one is always the most emotional one. But if I look at the performance alone, this year is better.”
Oracle Red Bull Racing has a 165-point advantage on nearest rival Ferrari, meaning the Constructor’s championship is within reach at Austin. “We’re going to try to win it here. What we’ve done this year is unbelievable.”
Despite the success this year, Max’ ambitions have not dimmed. “I still want to win every race and that’s what I’ll do my utmost best for. The pressure is off, but as soon as I’m in the car, I want the maximum result.”
