Max Verstappen voted Driver of the Day after catch-up race Jeddah

Max Verstappen was voted ‘Driver of the Day’ for the first time this season after a strong catch-up race in Jeddah. Fans worldwide casted their votes during the race in Saudi Arabia of which the Dutchman amassed the most.

During the first half of the race, the Dutch Oracle Red Bull Racing driver came back from fifteenth on the grid to second position. A safety car situation helped him to get close to the leader of the race, his teammate Sergio Perez. But the Mexican stayed five seconds ahead and won the race.

Max did a quick final lap, taking the point for fastest lap, which keeps him in the lead of the championship, one point ahead of Perez.
