The Bridgestone tyres seam to be well prepared for this last Grand Prix. Panis was fastest today followed by Hill. Villeneuve was the fastest on Goodyear tyres, followed by Barrichello, Hakkinen and Frentzen. Michael Schumacher was one of the few drivers who was not able to improve his time from the first session, he ended in position 10. In the first session Jos set a time of 1:25.327, good for position 21. In the second session he spinned so he was not able to improve his time. Salo did and occupied position 18.
