Thierry looking forward to DTM Lausitzring: 'A positive flow'

Verstappen.com Racing is represented in the DTM by Thierry Vermeulen, who drives a Ferrari 296 GT3 of Emil Frey Racing. The 21-year-old Dutchman makes his appearance this weekend during the fifth round of the DTM championship, at the Lausitzring in Germany.

“I am feeling ready for the Lausitzring”, says Thierry. “I am happy to come back here. We raced here last year with ADAC GT Masters. It’s quite a unique track with a very slow first sector and lots of curb riding. It’s very different from the tracks we have been so far, but that just makes it challenging and fun. On Thursday we have had a test day with three sessions, to prepare the car, work on some small things and prepare myself.”

“I am looking forward to getting ready with the team. On Friday we start with the free practice sessions, so let’s see how it’s going. We had a positive flow the last couple of races with four top ten finishes, so of course I’m hoping to continue this flow and get a good result here and hopefully some good battles on track. It won’t be easy on this track, as it’s very particular and very technical. Also from a driver point of view, it’s difficult to nail it but that’s why we’ll work hard. The weather is looking a bit mixed but the races will probably be dry.”
