The Netherlands will soon have another Formula 1 driver. Jacky van der Ende won a testdrive in a Stewart Ford by clinching the Formula Ford World Finals. After winning the prestigious British title earlier this year van der Ende was again the strongest man in the fiercely contested Finals. This event was previously known as the Formula Ford Festival and brought up winners like Jan Magnussen, Johnny Herbert and Eddie Irvine.

Apart from the Stewart Formula 1 car the 20 year old driver from Maasdijk gets a chance to drive a Ford Escort rallycar and a Formula 3 car of Paul Stewart Racing. Van der Ende has already a good relationship with Stewart. Earlier this year Dutch Jacky agreed to drive in the Formula Vauxhall Winterseries for the team of Scotish Jacky & son. Next year Van der Ende hopes to drive a full season in Formula Vauxhall or Formula 3.
