Raymond Vermeulen on Max Verstappen's third title: 'It's unbelievable'

After Max Verstappen claimed his third world championship title in today's sprint race, manager Raymond Vermeulen also joined in on the festivities. Vermeulen has formed a tight unit with Max and his father Jos since the start of Max’s career, resulting in a third world title for Max in a dominant Formula 1 season.

Vermeulen remarked after the race: “It’s unbelieveable. It’s a bit of a shame to win the title on a Saturday, but we are happy that we have it. Three in a row is remarkable.”

That Max took the title after placing second in the sprint race shouldn’t spoil the festivities: “The soft tyres were of course a lot faster at the start of the race. The medium compound tyres only became quick later. We had a bit of bad luck with the safety car, otherwise Max could’ve won. But, P2 is more than fine and we’re happy with it.”

On his hopes for Max’s future, Vermeulen states: “I hope the success continues for a very long time, and we will do our best."
