Today Tyrrell announced a new partnership for 1998. YKK, world leader in fastening products (zippers, etc.), is a Japanese company that was founded in 1934 and was one of the first Japanese companies to set up manufacturing facilities in Europe. The company now employs over 33,000 people in 47 countries and has an annual turnover of over $6 billion. YKK branding will appear on the Tyrrell cars and driver overall's starting January 1st 1998.
