Horner after Las Vegas qualifying: 'Max struggled with grip'

Published on 18 November 2023 by Niels Hendrix

Christian Horner, CEO of Oracle Red Bull Racing, said after the Las Vegas qualifying: “First qualifying here in Vegas and it was one, as expected, that continually evolved. It was slippery out there and that affected performance. Max struggled with grip. It was not the usual qualifying for him that we are used to seeing.”

Horner adds: “The grid penalty to Carlos puts him on the front row though and this is a track that so far doesn’t look like it is too testing for the drivers, it is one you can over take on so it should be an exciting race tomorrow.”

During the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend, Max will sport a special helmet design. His RB19 features a Las Vegas inspired livery. You can pre-order the scale models for both helmets and cars on Verstappen.com
