Max: 'The RB20 looks good, but at the end of the day it needs to be quick'

Looking at his brand new car, the Oracle Red Bull Racing RB20, which Max Verstappen will race in 2024, the three-time Formula 1 world champion says: “It's always exciting to launch a new car and see the work everyone has put into it. It's a good day.”

Max continues: “I'm excited to get back in the car to find out how competitive our car is this year. We of course had an incredible year last year. We won so many races and broke quite a few records along the way. It will be hard to achieve something similar, but that is not entirely the goal. Of course we want to win races and win the championship, but that doesn't necessarily mean breaking records.”

Max realizes that he is in a special environment: “I am entering my tenth year as a Red Bull driver and for me it is like a second family. I grew up here at Red Bull and I am excited for the future, what we can achieve together.” Verstappen is not yet making any predictions: “The RB20 looks good, but at the end of the day it needs to be quick. That’s what we have all been working on.”

After the first kilometers last Tuesday during a rainy filming day at Silverstone, the RB20 will really be put to the test from 21-23 February during the Formula 1 test days in Bahrain. But first the official Red Bull Racing teamline collection will be launched on Monday, February 19 at 11:00 CET and will be available on Verstappen.com and in the Max Verstappen shops in Swalmen (near Roermond) and Batavia Stad in the Netherlands.
