Verstappen.com Racing is represented in the DTM and GT World Challenge Sprint by Thierry Vermeulen, who drives a Ferrari 296 GT3 of Emil Frey Racing. The 21-year-old Dutchman previews his upcoming season.
Thierry says: “I am very much looking forward to starting the 2024 season, continuing with Emil Frey in DTM and GT World Challenge Sprint. For me, it is the first time that I’m driving in the same championship with the same car two years in a row, so that should help in making the progress we need to make. I think last year we showed some strong pace and good results by the end of the season. So, our goal is to start that way in 2024.”
“We’ve completed a good testing program over the last couple of months and the car seems in a good window. The team has been working hard throughout winter and I’ve also been working hard myself to be in the best shape possible for the season ahead.”
“Last weekend I did something a little different and I completed my permit A for the Nordschleife Ring, which allows me to race in GT3 machinery on the Nordschleife. It was a great experience on a very unique track. I can't wait to do more races there.”
“Now it's time to focus on DTM and this week we are in Hockenheim for a media day and two half days of testing. It is the official start of the DTM season. I am looking forward to see how everyone is doing and excited to see how our pace is compared to the others. It’s early days but it will give us an idea.”
“The DTM opening round will be in Oschersleben, just like as last year, so I’m really looking forward to get this season started together with the support of my partners. I hope you will join me for the 2024 season! As always, you can find more info and behind the scenes content on my social media.”
