Triple World Champion Niki Lauda has launched the idea of staging a Grand Prix in the year 2000 in Havana, capital of Cuba. Nika Lauda said about this after a meeting with a Cuban delegation: "I am very happy that the Cuban government will think about this and possibly give new life to an old tradition". The circuit would go over the streets of old and new Havana. Tobacco sponsoring shouldn't be too big a problem here (Wild Havana's?).
