Next Saturday, November 22, Jos will attend the annual party of the Nederlandse Autosport Vereniging (Dutch Autosport CLub), the NAV. The party will be held at the Maastheater in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

On November 29 and 30 the 5th edition of the Elf Master Karting tournament in Paris-Bercy will be staged. Besides the Spice Girls there will also be about 50 drivers present, well and lesser known - old and young. Of the present drivers Jacques Villeneuve, Johnny Herbert, Norberto Fontana, Mika Salo, Jan Magnussen and Shinji Nakano will be present among others, as well as CART champion Alessandro (Alex) Zanardi. Of the old guys René Arnoux, Philippe Alliot, Jean-Pierre Jabouille and Jacques Laffite will be there. Tickets can be ordered through Ticketnet.

Tyre manufacturer Michelin is surprised as well by the sudden retirement of Goodyear from Formule 1 after 1998. Michelin has announced that they are indeed preparing an entry in Formula 1 but are unable to play a major role starting 1999. Michelin indicates, as well as Goodyear, that high costs of investment form the bottle neck. Bridgestone will not be able as well to supply all teams with tyres.
