The French government has given it's green light to an agreement, set up by the French Minister of Sport, Marie-George Buffet, and Max Mosley of the FIA. The agreement settles the dispute about TV broadcasting rights of the French Grand Prix that, up until now, hasn't shown up on the 1998 calendar. Max Mosley wil then give the text a final rundown by his lawyers. The French government awaits this decision before handing the text over to the 'Conseil d'Etat'. This advising body will give a final advise to the French Government. If all goes well then the decision can finally be made on December 11 in Monaco to add the French Grand Prix to the race calendar for 1998. The Grand Prix will then propably be staged on June 28.
