Jos wins six out of ten stages in Rally de la Famenne

Jos Verstappen and navigator Renaud Jamoul won six of the ten stages of Rally de la Famenne. However, they still finished at the back of the field in the overall standings. A mistake resulted in damage and forced them to sit out three stages.

The duo started strong in their Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, sporting the Verstappen.com Racing colours. They secured a win in the first stage, Rochefort (16.6km), followed by victories in Lamsoul (11.3km) and Gerny (12.8km), wrapping up the first set of stages.

The second time around Rochefort, Verstappen again was fastest, building a lead of around one minute over the nearest rival. But disaster struck on the Lamsoul stage when a slip caused damage, and they had to sit out stages 5, 6, and 7.

They had a strong comeback on stage 8, again at Lamsoul and set the fastest time once more. In the final two stages Jos and Jamoul finished second and first, closing out the rally on a high note despite their overall standing. Kris Princen and navigator Peter Kaspers ultimately claimed victory in the Rally de la Famenne.
