Jos improved his best time of yesterday ...

Published on 11 December 1997 by Verstappen Info Page

Jos improved his best time of yesterday slightly. Verstappen drove a time of 1m25.7s while the fastest Williams driver did 1m24.2s. Regarding the relatively small gap Jos was fairly satisfied with the test. Today Jos did not drive again. Toranosuke Takagi took over and will round off the program tomorrow. It is likely that Jos will drive for Tyrrell again next week.
As we mentioned last week Jos had a seat fitting in the new Tyrrell. Jos said the car looks good and will probably have more downforce than its predecessor. Also Jos has had a meeting with the new owners of the team and was still very optimistic about his chances in retaining his seat afterwards.

A tip for the Christmas holidays: Jos will appear at an autoshow of Garage Boks in Apeldoorn. Boks is celebrating the 12½th anniversary of the company. Boks also hopes to get the Tyrrell-Ford to Apeldoorn.

Jos has a got new brother today. The second wife of Jos' father gave birth to a boy called Danillo today.
