As known the presentation of the new Tyrrell 026 is done tomorrow. There will be only onde driver, Toranosuke Takagi, present at the presentation. Jos Verstappen and Tyrrell hope to extend their relationship this season. Negotiations are still going on. There is still a budget problem so extra sponsorship still has to be found.

For Prost 1998 marks the start of a new era. At the presentation of the new 1998 Prost AP-01 at Barcelona's circuit de Catalunya Alain Prost said that he intends to break into the top 4 of F1 teams as soon as possible. Prost has now completely restructured the old Ligier team into a new team with 150 instead of 68 employees, a new headquarter near Versailles and with the ambition to be a top team.

Drivers for Prost in 1998 are ofcourse Olivier Panis and newcomer Jarno Trulli, who replaced Oliver last year for a couple of races. New technical director for the team is Bernard Dudot who was formerly with Renault were he was responsible for the F1 engine division. Responsible for designing the all new Prost is the 37 year old Loïc Bigois. Jean Pierre Boudy, is responsible for the powerplant of the Prost, the Peugeot engine.

The new Prost is a prettier colour blue which combines well with the sponsor logo's. One of the new sponsors is Agfa, the Belgian company which produces film and other photographic equipment. Before returning to Magny-Cours, Prost will have some test sessions in Barcelona.
