A crash of Jean Alesi forced the warm up session of the 1996 Grand Prix of San Marino, held at Imola, Italy to an early stop. 2 minutes and 17 seconds before the official end the session was stopped with a code red situation. Luckily Alesi got out unharmed. Apart from Alesi's crash there were no big events. Hill was fastest, followed by Villeneuve and Coulthard. Jos only drove about 6 laps at the beginning of the session. After the code red situation he improved his time spectacularly. In only one lap he drove from position 18 to position 12.

Next week (May 8 and 9) the Arrows team will be testing again at Silverstone, hoping to fix the understeer problem at least. See San Marino Grand Prix results for the warm up times. Please send your wedding wishes for Jos and Sophie to us and we will publish them on our Jos and Sophie Wedding wishes Page.
