Heinz-Harald Frentzen wants to become world champion this year. The German has said this at a press conference in Munich this weekend. As his main competitors he sees Michael Schumacher, Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard but above all ofcourse reigning world champion and teammate Jacques Villeneuve. "I want to compete with my teammate, Jacques Villeneuve, and win the world title. At Williams there is no first or second driver. With us it isn't like Ferrari, where Eddie Irvine is the water carrier of Michael Schumacher."

The same "water carrier", Eddie Irvine, has had a busy weekend testing at Mugello together with his teammate Michael Schumacher. On Saturday Eddie Irvine completed a race distance of 75 laps and set a best time of 1:28.948. The test was satisfactory for the Irishman. On Sunday Irvine clocked a best time of 1:27.556 during aerodynamics testing. Michael Schumacher didn't reach any further than 1:28.060 in 50 laps of testing that day.
