We have had to wait a long time for it but we now have positive news on Jos: Jos was at the team of Benetton Playlife in Great Britain this afternoon to have a seat fitted. The intention is that Jos will start testing for the team. The first test planned to take place for Jos is between the Grand Prix of Brazil and Argentina.

Jos told us: "I am very happy that there my career is getting a good follow-up again. I have fond memories of the Benetton team for which I drove in 1994 and 1995. The team belongs to one of the four top teams, has an enormous amount of know-how, very good technical facilities and they receive me with open arms. Besides that I have confidence in Nick Wirth who I ofcourse know from my time with Simtek. At Simtek he showed that he was able to make a very good car on a very limited budget."

Jos continues: "This all doesn't take away the fact that we are still very much on the look out for sponsors that are absolutely necessary. As everyone knows Formula 1 is a very expensive sport. It could be very interesting for companies to be able to work with a top team."

With new team director David Richards Benetton has very clearly entered a new stage. The team is highly motivated, very well organized and has very good people on the staff. Ofcourse we keep everyone posted on alle further developments.
