Jacques Villeneuve has recovered from his crash yesterday and set the pace during the warm up for the French Grand Prix with a fastest time of 1:18.319. Alesi was second and Hakkinen third. It will certainly be an exciting race as Coulthard, Schumacher and Hill all went off the track. Hill rammed Heinz Harald Frentzen causing the Sauber's left front wheel suspension to break off completely.
