During the European BOSS (Best Of Single Seaters) Formula series at Silverstone yesterday, Jos Verstappen was invited by Paul Stoddard (director and owner of European Aviation) to join him on the circuit with one of his Tyrrell 025 of last year. Paul Stoddart bought all Tyrrell cars of last season with their complete outfit. Jos his comment after the event was :"I was happily surprised by his invitation. I know that Paul is following my career with great interest, therefore I was quite willing to honour his request. The atmosphere in the paddock was very nice and relaxed".

The BOSS series is British initiative and is dedicated to the fastest Formula-type cars like Formula 1 and Formula 3000. In general the cars are one or more years old and fielded by privateers. In the series used Formula 1 cars of Jordan, Footwork/Arrows, Pacific and Tyrrell can be found. Also a number of Reynard Formula 3000 cars are entered. Most of the races take place in Britain but there are also excursions to Mondello (Ireland) and Spa-Francorchamps (6 September).
