Giancarlo Fisichella and Alexander Wurz drove with completely different setup's on Thursday. Due to the very fast times of Giancarlo, Alexander Wurz will copy most of his setup on Saturday. They can expect great competition from Ferrari, since Irvine was able to set his quickest time on race trim. Both drivers of Sauber complained of having difficulties with understeer. While Johnny Herbert described it as mid corner understeer, Alesi complained that his car was almost not steerable. Maybe the difference in ranking between both drivers explains the difference in opinion. It also looks as if the Bridgestone tyres might give difficulties during this weekend. McLaren and Benetton both complain of severe understeer in their cars causing the front tyres to wear out very fast.
