In the second free Saturday practice session the McLaren's were once again fastest. It was again Mika Hakkinen who took the lead followed by his mate David Coulthard. Fisichella was once again third but was this time accompanied by his teammate Wurz on fourth place. Irvine and, surprisingly, Barrichello completed the top 6.
